關於藝術家
吉瑪·霍爾澤(Gemma Holzer)1996年出生於美國，在加州度過了她早年的生活，之後旅居荷蘭Amersfoort，直到2015年她19歲時搬到倫敦學習藝術，並取得City & Guilds of London Art School (倫敦藝術學院城市&協會) 美術學一級學士學位。
她的作品揭示了在我們後時代引起共鳴的集體孤獨感。通過使用孩童般的意象，反思了普遍進入成年期以及我們彼此之間的人際關係。將數字繪畫轉換為實體繪畫，是她常見的表現手法，這些圖像是平坦的，而且是非常靜止的，彷彿作為時間的真空而存在，且這些過度飽和的場景暗示著青春的記憶。這些作品也是藝術家對現實的逃避反應；目的是將觀眾帶入一個她虛構出的虛擬世界。作品時常圍繞著一個名叫 PinkBoy 的胎兒型角色展開，他居住在從現有卡通圖像中挪用的世界中。 PinkBoy 是自畫像、個人頭像、童年的描繪。他被放置在人造世界中，以考慮當今時代有關人類的問題。
